Innovatus
Innovatus is a high fantasy gpsl with random elements of D&D tossed in. Do you need to know D&D to play? Yes, but just the super basics. It's easy to learn, if you're confused, just ask! If you have any questions, refer to the section below.

What do I need to know to play?
All of the generic rules apply here. No godmodding, don't cross the OOC/IC line, don't be an asshole, killing other player's character without consent, put sensitive or triggering threads/posts behind a warning cut. If the moderator has to step in, they will. But please handle any fights on your own, we're all adults here.
OOC journals are preferred.
Bio of your character(s) - it would be the main and then the fantasy one.
Icons of said played-by(s).
Examples, just one narrative and one thread.
All played-bys must be over the age of 18 since all of the characters will be over that age. Please do not use a deceased PB.

As of right now, there will be a character limit of one for the main group and unlimited secondary and tertiary characters. What are unlimited secondary characters? These characters are linked to the main group in one way or another (through the fantasy world or through the real one). This connection makes them a secondary character. What are unlimited tertiary characters? There will be NPCs to keep the story moving along. They will be killable though, just a forwarning, but these tertiaries do need approval by the person that created them in order to kill them. Tertiary characters are not required to have character sheets.

When it comes to the D&D character, their profile have be created on D&D Beyond to be able to keep track of the character's progress, abilities, etc (or any other d&d character creator) but D&D beyond is highly preferred. You can also build the character on the website and transfer the information into your character's journal. Characters will be starting at LEVEL 10. How to characters level up? By completing milestones that will be discussed in OOC.

Games are only as active as their players. Since all the characters are in a foreign world, only threads and narratives count torwards the update requirement. Activity checks will occur every 1st of the month but please post more than once. It is unfair to only post once while everyone else is posting more. There will be random activity checks prior to game wide events.

The OOC Community will be utilized for ooc chats, updates, check-ins, etc. This will serve as your intro when you're admitted into the game. If you don't post in the ooc section, your character will be removed.

The IC Community will be used for game events, threads, open threads, letters, etc.

If you need to take a hiatus for anything, please let the moderator know. Mental health and real life takes precedent over the internet.

NOTE: All players are responsible to create bi-weekly plots. These plots can revolve around their character and their history but it has to tie everyone else in somehow as well. For example: Character A is a bard and has a concert for everyone but magically puts everyone in a deep sleep. These characters have to figure out how to get out of their dreams. Players can opt in or out for these bi-weekly plots when role call is made for the event.

the realm of Eachalyn
Here is the image of the map.

Eachalyn was once a prospering realm. All the cities and people were content with their lives. Trades were created and treaties were signed. One gruesome night, the Orc King had risen from the dark depths and had taken over the Blessed City, overthrowing the current King Ulysses. The realm went into turmoil. Orcs over ran the land, towns and cities burned. The Elves and Dwarves separated themselves from the rest of the land, cloistering together on their islands. Now it had been over a decade since the Orc King has taken the King's throne at the blessed city. The goal? To defeat the Orc King and revive the Ulysses reign by finding the last prince. There had been rumors that he is still alive, but where?

Technology doesn't have any place in Eachalyn. To move from place to place, characters will have to walk, use a horse, carriage, boat, etc. In order to get messages to each other, characters will have to utilize animals (like birds) or enchanted scrolls. Armor and weapons are highly encouraged, in case you come across a foe. Coins do not weigh anything in this game so if your character is "rich," their money doesn't weigh them down.
